FAR CORELAY
Black powder fantasy has always been a guilty pleasure of mine. I enjoy the romanticism of the Baroque Period, with all of its social and political upheavals. I also really admire the works of H.P. Lovecraft, particularly his views on alien cosmology and cosmic horror.
So when I set out to blend all of these elements into a single story, I discovered that most “Baroque” tales with a Lovecraftian undertone were very obtuse and prose heavy. I wanted to write a sweeping saga for the ages: a realistic war story and detective thriller that blends the gritty decay of Lovecraft with the romantic dynamism of the Napoleonic era and the heroism of works like Three Musketeers, Tale of Two Cities, Count of Monte Cristo and Vidocq.
If this sounds like your cup of tea, then please dive in and enjoy yourself. These books are filled with many things: mystery and violence, love and horror, humor and sacrifice. But ask not for whom G.E. Uke writes.
He writes for thee.
